Ⅰ. University Profile

Founded in 1909,China Universityof Mining and Technology-Beijing (CUMT-Beijing) is a national key university directly supervised by China Mimistry of Education. Which has been listed into the national “211 Project", the “985 Project Innovation Platform",as well as the "World First-Rate Discipline Construction University". It is also one of the initial member universities for the Strategic Alliance of Industial Technology Innovation, with its development supported jointly by the Ministry of Education and China's former State Administration of Work Safety. The university is now composed of two campuses: Xueyuan Road campus located on Xueyuan Road, the university zone in Haidian District of Beijing, and Shahe campus locatedin Shahe Higher Education Zone in Changping District of Beijing.

1. Application Requirements

(1) Applicants must be foreign citizens who are in good health, abide by the law, and hold a valid passport.

(2) Age requirements:

Master's degree applicants: under 35 years old

Doctoral degree applicants: under 40 years old

(3) Academic requirements:

Master's degree applicants must hold a qualification equivalent to a Chinese bachelor's degree.

Doctoral degree applicants must hold a qualification equivalent to a Chinese master's degree.

Applicants for English-taught programs must demonstrate appropriate English language proficiency. If the applicant comes from a country where English is not the native or official language, they need to meet one of the following requirements: an IELTS score of 6.5, a TOEFL score of 80, or a TOEFL Essentials score of 9 or above (DI Code: C806), or provide proof of at least two years of English-taught study.If none of these can be provided, the applicant will need to pass an English interview organized by the university.

1. Duration of Study

Master's programs: 3 years

Doctoral programs: 4 years

2. Tuition Fees

Master's students: RMB 28,800 / year

Doctoral students: RMB 33,000 / year

3. Accommodation Fee

4. Double room: RMB 900 / person / month

4. Medical Insurance Fee

RMB 800 / person / year
